Users can add contacts to their My Web account, which allows them to view your tags and even some tags that you submitted as only viewable by them. A criticism for the Invite Contacts feature is that it seems the main purpose of it is to attract more users to My Web. |

In February 2009, Yahoo! announced plans to shut down MyWeb on March 18, 2009. MyWeb bookmarks are automatically available for use within Yahoo! Bookmarks, and users were encouraged to switch to [[Delicious (website)|Delicious]] if they preferred a social bookmarking experience. |

Good: |
*Allows you to search tagged topics to find specific bookmarks |
*Lets you submit a website along with a description, with the option of only being available to your contacts or even yourself. |
Bad: |
*Bookmarks are not screened by Yahoo!; meaning many crude, questionable and even illegal sites are displayed. Sometimes tags like 'hacks' and 'knickers' are even displayed on the home page. |
*Unfiltered and easy submission allows for sites containing pornography, scams and unsecure content to be listed. Open descriptions and tags for submissions also means top results could be unrelated to search. |

My Web was a social bookmarking website launched by Yahoo! in June 2005.[2] It allowed users to bookmark a web page, along with a description, either just for themselves, for selected contacts or for everyone. The user could also add tags so that other users could search for tags and see the bookmarked site. Users could add contacts to their My Web account, which allowed them to view the user's tags and also some tags that the viewer submitted.
In late 2006, Yahoo! introduced an improved Yahoo! Bookmarks service, with a tagging facility, and encouraged My Web users to transfer their bookmarks to this service.
In February 2009, Yahoo! announced plans to shut down MyWeb on March 18, 2009. MyWeb bookmarks are automatically available for use within Yahoo! Bookmarks, and users were encouraged to switch to Delicious if they preferred a social bookmarking experience.
