The "Ten Little Monkeys" rhyme has been around at least since 1953. I haven't seen the film, but the moral premise seems rooted in the rhyme. Antmusic (talk) 00:02, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

The title seems to indicate so. It is in the same structure (one got fat/one fell off...) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.107.34.90 (talk) 00:32, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

I had the same impression. But it's pretty popular (and is the only reason I even knew about the original safety video). I'm not sure how notability works in this sort of case. 203.217.150.69 (talk) 07:17, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The premise of this film....

[edit]

Is this film based slightly on the rebus nursery rhyme "Ten Little Monkeys"... "Ten little monkeys jumping on the bed... one fell of and bumped his head" Blah blah blah "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

The premise is similar. Monkeys being used to show what not to do. Jumping on the bed = go to the doctor or death.... Riding your bike incorrectly = being hurt or death.

The "Ten Little Monkeys" rhyme has been around at least since 1953. I haven't seen the film, but the moral premise seems rooted in the rhyme. Antmusic (talk) 00:02, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
