Emeryville Center for Community Life is planned k-12 facility and recreation center that will replace all the Emeryville schools will lead to the Secondary School closing in summer 2012,Environmental testing will begin after with construction starting in 2014.The ECCL would be built in two phases due to funding ,The first phase scheduled to open Fall 2015 will fit current population (800 students )of both schools.The 2nd phase would adds in additional classrooms and a theater and will happen sometime in the future depending on Emeryville student population. There are currently two locations being discussed for the relocation for Students to attend while construction of new school take place one of them is Santa Fe school site and other is Ralph Hawley site.
