Homeopaths usually have to be graduates from certain homeopathic schools or colleages to be leagally, officially and professionally practicing. See [[Homeopathic initials]]. Some people consider a homeopath must be only a MD so that to have the responsibility to treat deseases. This is a large argued subject. Also according to Hahnemman himself, who was the creator of homeopathy was a MD. However most schools in homeopathy charge all students, i.e. doctors and non-doctors, as equal. In some countries it is needed for a non-doctor homeopath to complete courses in common medicine before practicing. There are also (in India mostly) educational systems which give the possibility to have a medical title in homeopathy which literary means the education consists in homeopathic study plus common medicine disciplines. |
