[edit]After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft, Burwell signed with the San Diego Chargers on May 3, 2015.[1] On September 10, he was waived, but signed to the practice squad two days later.[2] He was promoted to the active roster on September 29.[3]
On November 5, 2016, Burwell was released by the Chargers.[4] Three days later, the Chargers signed Burwell to their practice squad.[5] He was promoted to the active roster on November 14.
