In the music video, Lindsay performs in the middle of a race that includes [[Herbie]]. At the same time, clips from the movie are shown. Unlike the previous two videos, [[Rumors (song)|Rumors]] and [[Over (song)|Over]], Lindsay has [[blond]] hair in this video and also flaunts her new stick-thin figure.
"First" was written and produced by Kara DioGuardi and John Shanks, who would later produce Lohan's second album ''[[A Little More Personal (Raw)]]''.
