Headmistress Subadhra runs the impoverished Saraswathi Vilasam UP School. With insufficient amenities, she teaches and provides lunch to the unprivileged children of the region. Anoop Krishnan, a youth with ambitions of his own, is forced by his mother to follow his father's footsteps and become a school teacher. Reluctant Anoop is a dispassionate teacher, but a speech from an IAS officer, a student of his father's, inspires Anoop to become an exemplary teacher like his father was. Anoop improves the school and takes charge of the institution.
Anoop Krishnan ([[Jayasurya]]), with the hope of getting administration degree M.B.A, but fate moves him to B.ed degree for a teaching job. Kottapuram Saraswathi Vilasam U.P.Schools teacher Anoop Krishnan ready for the new beginning.
The whole Administration was going smoothly under the hands of Head Mistress Subhadra([[Menaka]]), with the arrival of Anoop Krishnan at the school, who has no interest in this profession. Story turns to humor and twist from that on.

The movie got mixed to negative response from the critics. Due to the story allegations exhorted by P N Nahas, a native of Paravoor, the censoring works had been stopped by Ernakulam District Court. Nahas said that two years before he had told story of Vadhyar to N Sudhish (Producer) and his friend Shaji Vargheese. They had only changed the story background, he added. The accusation had been true and lead actor [[Jayasurya]] was forced to give his dates. [[Jayasurya]] had gotten to do the role in a script that was changed to avoid the allegations, due to this the film failed at box office.
