This comes from the [http://www.statoids.com/uet.html Statoids web page] -- which states that the island in Lake Tana is "the island of Daga, or Dek, in Lake Tana" -- which is the name of two different islands in that lake. That is why I have not cited this source; more sources are needed to verify which island was meant. -- [[User:Llywrch|llywrch]] 02:36, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

I added the following to the article:

Dek Island in Lake Tana was administratively part of Gojjam until 1987.

This comes from the Statoids web page -- which states that the island in Lake Tana is "the island of Daga, or Dek, in Lake Tana" -- which is the name of two different islands in that lake. That is why I have not cited this source; more sources are needed to verify which island was meant. -- llywrch 02:36, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
