State Highway 75 passes through the center of the town, leading southwest 10 miles (16 km) to Oneonta, the county seat, and northeast 18 miles (29 km) to Albertville. The Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River flows through the northwest corner of the town.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.3 square miles (13.6 km2), of which 0.015 square miles (0.04 km2), or 0.31%, is water.[4]
