==Teaching Locations==
===Deggendorf Campus===
The Deggendorf Campus is the first and largest campus which has recently undergone a vast multi-million extension to accommodate the expanding university community. It is a truly innovative learning environment based around a modern, central courtyard with a hovering deck over a large water feature where staff and students enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while having lunch, socialising, revising or just hanging out. All faculties, workshops and service centres are located in, on and around this campus, providing an attractive and excellent hub for staff, students and teaching staff. All faculties and service centres naturally have wheelchair access. A range of events are hosted throughout the whole year, the largest events being the popular campus fest and summer open air music festival. The Deggendorf campus offers a great selection of sports activities, which makes it one of the sportiest universities in Bavaria. Winning the national championgships in volleyball and football, DIT is a pioneer in university sports, including champion sprts clubs and competitive sports through its unique geographical surroundings between mountains and the Danube river.

===European Campus Rottal-Inn (ECRI)===
A special feature of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology is the European Campus Rottal-Inn (ECRI) in Pfarrkirchen. The campus was opened in October 2015 as an international study location of DIT. ECRI stands for sustainable management in rural regions, [[interculturality]] and [[internationality]]. With English as the campus language, ECRI is the only English-speaking campus in the whole of Bavaria. This makes studying in Pfarrkirchen particularly attractive for internationally oriented prospective students. The main areas of research and teaching at ECRI are international tourism management, health and medical tourism, industrial engineering, education for sustainable development, digital health and healthy and sustainable buildings.
ECRI offers the following Bachelor's and Master's programmes:
* Health Informatics (B.Sc.)
* Industrial Engineering (B.Eng.)
* International Tourism Management / Health and Medical Tourism (B.A.)
* Energy Systems Engineering (B.Eng.)
* International Tourism Development (M.A.)
* Medical Informatics (M.Sc.)
The campus currently has about 700 students, almost two thirds are from Europe, Asia, Africa and America. ECRI maintains partnerships with over 200 universities in 60 countries through the network of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. By 2022, the planned expansion target of 1,000 students in Pfarrkirchen should be achieved. ECRI is an independent faculty of DIT.

==Technology Campuses==
In 2009, Deggendorf Institute of Technology opened the first technology transfer centres and thus took on a pioneering role. In the transfer centres, called Technology Campus, the symbiosis of scientific research and its economic application is the main focus. The close cooperation dynamises the regional economy and sets new technological accents far away from urban areas. Deggendorf Institute of Technology now maintains eleven Technology Campuses with different research areas:
* TC Cham: Mechatronics & Automation
* Healthcare Campus Bad Kötzting: Health Prevention & Promotion
* TC Parsberg / Lupburg: Digital Production
* TSC Weissenburg: Operational Strength & Material Development

==Promotion==
At the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, excellent graduates can earn their doctorates in cooperation with national and international universities. Doctoral students who carry out their doctoral thesis in cooperation with a Bavarian university can become members of one of the thematic joint research groups of the Bavarian Science Forum (BayWISS). BayWISS is a cooperation platform of all universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. Since 2017, ten cross-university thematic colleges have been established through the specialist forum for joint doctoral research.
