F.S.S is home to The Fernie Secondary School Robotics Club, which in April of 2010 travelled to [[Atlanta, Georgia]] to compete in the 2010 FTC. The team's name is the Fernie Robotic Falcons (after the school mascot) and included eight members in the 2009/2010 season Christopher Atherton, John Iddon, Colin Li, Alex Butala, Cole Goodman, William Butala, Ashleigh Butala, and Darby Gravelle. They had one teacher mentor Mr. William Bell. |

We have done alot more than just gone for the robotics thing. Our volleyball, basketball, soccer and ski/snowboarding teams have gone to provincials numerous times. In fact the senior girls basketball Provincials have been held in Fernie the last two years (2010 and 2011). We are known as the Fernie Falcons, and are usually very high ranking in our East West Kootenays |
