-*They weren't sent to Turkey, they were sent to the Ottoman Empire, and could have ended up anywhere within that empire. They have also been so "genetically diluted" over the past 500 years that they're no longer Croats, because being 1/100 Croat, or less, doesn't make anyone a Croat, or any other nationality for that matter.
