''"<small>This first edition of the WOHIAN is proudly presented by the 1951 graduating class of White Oak High School. We hope many editions of a representative yearbook will follow, for we believe that the need for such a publication will continue to increase as our school continues to progress. At this commencement, White Oak celebrates her twenty-fourth birthday and each of these anniversaries have marked a year of considerable growth and progress. During these years, many young people have been beneficially influenced by the leaders of this institution - leaders whose personalities have been characterized by strength and wisdom. For these, among other reasons, we gratefully call White Oak our Alma Mater. It is partially to express this pride that we are publishing this yearbook. We have been handicapped in many ways, with inexperience and financial difficulties leading the way - however, we have done our best. We hope that the result of our efforts will be as pleasing to you as presenting this volume is pleasing to us</small>."'' |
