The Madrid Royal Conservatory (es) is a music college in Madrid, Spain.
The Royal Conservatory of Music was founded on July 15, 1830 by royal decree, and was originally located in Mostenses Square, Madrid. Later, in 1852, however, it was moved to the Royal Theater, where it remained until the building was condemned by royal order and classes ordered to halt in 1925. From this point, and for the next 85 years, the university entered a period of peregrination as it underwent a number of location changes. As of 1990, the conservatory has taken its official home in a restored 18th century building, in front of the Queen Sofia National Art Museum.

History
The building that currently houses the Conservatory was previously the home of the Hospital Clinic of San Carlos.
