That section sounds like it has an agenda to argue that Bahrain shouldn't be its own country and I wondered the same about the two words. They share one entry under "referendum," but that does say that "plebiscite" can be used to refer to votes carried out by an undemocratic regime for its own purposes. The assumption that the two are different also appears in the following article listed amoung the external links. Is that where the author got this info? It describes a process of a series of consultations rather than a big vote. |

Could someone write an article about position etc of the Amwaj Islands which were recently in the news but nowhere covered in wikipedia except an item about the filming of Big Brother in Bahrain. |

The [[:File:Map of Bahrain.svg|map used in the sidebar]] has a strange inset. The world map has a rectangle that covers an area from Egypt to India. But the larger map is only a fraction of this. Not accurate or helpful. I realize it's difficult for a country this small. Bahrain is an interesting country. I would like to know more about the portuguese era - when was it, and are there portuguese colonial monuments / buildings there? I hope someone who knows about this would update the history section - because the article is really lacking in this department. --[[User:SWA|SWA]] 16:03, 4 January 2006 (UTC) |

Map inset is incorrect
[edit]The map used in the sidebar has a strange inset. The world map has a rectangle that covers an area from Egypt to India. But the larger map is only a fraction of this. Not accurate or helpful. I realize it's difficult for a country this small. 2401:7000:DB0D:3900:58C:C232:8442:549F (talk) 03:08, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Missing text?
[edit]This paragraph under Post-Arab Spring years seems to have had text cut from it, between the words "committee to" and the word "paying". As is, it doesn't make much sense: "On 9 April 2020, Bahrain launched a committee to paying private-sector employees for a three-month period in order to ease the financial pain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic."
