Born in India in 1927, Mrs.Aneese Majid Khan migrated to Pakistan in 1952 and settled in Lahore where she established the Esena Foundation School. She belongs to the Imam family and is the daughter of the late Syed Jaffar Imam, the Chief Justice of the Indian Supreme Court.She has authored books on Islam such as "The New Arab World", "Insight into Islam" and "The Echoes Of The Eternal". |

Esena Foundation High School (Urdu: ایسنا فاؤنڈیشن ہائی اسکول) was a private fee-paying academic institution for girls only. It was located in Gulberg, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
History
[edit]It was established in 1964 by Begum Anesa Majid Khan.[1] Esena was the very first private education institute for girls in Pakistan. Esena's director Begum Majid was the daughter of the late Imam Jafer, the chief justice of India. She died in 2013.[2]
The school closed in 2017.[3]
