Biography
[edit]Diogo Correia Valente was born in 1567 in Lisbon, Portugal.[2] He was ordained a priest in the Society of Jesus.[2]
On 8 Jan 1618, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul V as Bishop of Funay.[1][2] On 18 Mar 1618, he was consecrated bishop by Ottavio Accoramboni, Bishop Emeritus of Fossombrone.[2] He was unable to reach his diocese because of persecution.
