Hi Anypodetos, |

Hi, I've come across Template:Comparison direct and indirect speech. This template doesn't appear to be in use now, is there something that you have in mind for it? – Uanfala (talk) 23:12, 23 May 2019 (UTC) |

== Afatinib figure - C797S == |
|||
Is Potato Bot still available? I'd like to add codes to language infoboxes to link to the Endangered Language Project, like we did for ISO and Glottolog. The ELP gives population data (nearly always sourced!) which is often at odds with Ethnologue. Plus, besides not being well sourced, Ethnologue is now a very expensive pay service ($2,400/year with maps, $480/year without), so our editors and readers would likely get more out of the ELP. |
|||
Hi, |
|||
Your figure "Afatinib covalently binds to cysteine number 797 of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) via a Michael addition (IC50 = 0.5 nM).[12]" is extremely interesting. My wife has NSCLC for 7 years, but has recently progressed on Tagrisso with C797S, retaining T790M. |
|||
I have a .csv mapping of languages names, ISO codes, and ELP codes from the ELP. Actually, the ELP 'codes' are just a number to generate a URL for the article. I doubt they're used for anything else, so perhaps we don't want to display them openly, but that can be handled by the infobox template. We'll need them for the URL link regardless. |
|||
Afatinib appears to offer a benefit in reacting with C797S, however short lived. |
|||
There are 3350 ELP codes for lects that have ISO codes, and 235 for ones that don't, or at least didn't when the list was compiled (some of which I should submit to ISO, I'm just tired of writing up ISO requests). |
|||
Could you provide a reference for the Afatinib / C797S interaction ? |

:Hi! Schubert-Zsilavecz is a seminar script and unlikely to be found on the internet. I have found a description of this mechanism here. The C797S mutation means there is no cysteine at position 797 but a serine, so afatinib probably won't be able to bind. This looks like a source for this assumption. However, that's all preclinical data that won't tell you whether and for how long your wife may benefit from afatinib. Sorry I can't help you more. I wish you and your wife all the best, sincerely, --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 19:07, 25 August 2019 (UTC) |

Hey. I'm putting stuff on the GAN page that seems to be in the new version of Stanford but not the old. I'm dropping a note here so this important point won't get lost in the thicket of text: just because I put something on the GAN page doesn't mean you have to add it to the article. hello there, Hope this message greets you well. Thanks for letting me know. I placed the link because there were no links or page related to Vraylar medicine on Wikipedia. And this post had the mechanism of action and the I just went through the guidelines now. It says the external links can be linked in the reference section for further read if it has more information regarding the topic. And the post I linked has a detailed explanation on the mechanism of action, side effects, written by doctors. I thought this can be helpful. Do let me know if it is ok to add in the link to the post in the reference section. <!-- Template:Unsigned --><small class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned comment added by Poseidon3211 (talk • contribs) 15:39, 12 September 2019 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> |

Hi! I added a suggestion to the "isogloss" page, which you edit regularly, so I though I'd ping you, and you can add it if you think it's appropriate. I love the article, and it's hella/totally true! |
|||
:Hi! I must admit I didn't look at the list of temporary codes. I'm not sure it's a good idea to include these in Wikipedia articles and ATC lists – They are still subject to objections until February 2022 (see the Excel file). If any of these isn't included in the final list (January 2023), it'll probably stay on Wikipedia indefinitely as wrong information. However, I won't object if you remove the fact tag. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 08:44, 29 November 2021 (UTC) |

Hi Anypodetos, |
|||
== The true and forgotten discoverers of rapamycin. == |
|||
My name is Gionei Gomes da Silva, and I am a Brazilian physician. |
|||
All publications on the discovery of rapamycin forget that the real discoverers were the Brazilians. It was really Canada that motivated the Brazilian researchers to go to Rapa Nui Island. It is also true that the researcher Suren N. Sehgal was responsible for the discovery of the magnificent properties of rapamycin. However, if the Brazilians had not discovered it the world would not have known it! |
|||
I never could identify the names of the Brazilians. Because the commemorative plaque placed on Rapa Nui Island, in 2000, by Wyeth, in honor of the Brazilian scientists, does not contain their names. I am trying to find out here in Brazil the names of these Brazilians. <!-- Template:Unsigned IP --><small class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2804:14D:7E90:330B:F193:561F:EF07:616C (talk) 12:14, 11 October 2020 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> |

Is Potato Bot still available? I'd like to add codes to language infoboxes to link to the Endangered Language Project, like we did for ISO and Glottolog. The ELP gives population data (nearly always sourced!) which is often at odds with Ethnologue. Plus, besides not being well sourced, Ethnologue is now a very expensive pay service ($2,400/year with maps, $480/year without), so our editors and readers would likely get more out of the ELP. |
|||
Dear Anypodetos, |
|||
We'll need them for the URL link regardless. |
|||
I wanted some information about the page tagged here which you had edited. There's a table on this page that lists parameters for some astronomical objects (Earth, Sun, White Dwarf and Neutron Star). I wanted to know if this table has a relevant source like a research article or a book. Since there is no citation about the source of the table, could you please let me know from where did you get the table and its data? |
|||
There are 3350 ELP codes for lects that have ISO codes, and 235 for ones that don't, or at least didn't when the list was compiled (some of which I should submit to ISO, I'm just tired of writing up ISO requests). |

Potato Bot still available?
[edit]Hi Anypodetos,
Been a while! Glad to see you're still active on WP.
There are 3350 ELP codes for lects that have ISO codes, and 235 for ones that don't, or at least didn't when the list was compiled (some of which I should submit to ISO, I'm just tired of writing up ISO requests).

[edit]ATC Codes
[edit]Hello, here is the list of provisional ATC codes assigned to drugs such as sotrovimab. Hope this helps. I will take action on your edit on sotrovimab once you have reviewed this list & replied. Obama gaming (talk) 22:02, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hi! --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 08:44, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- I understand your hesitancy in including these codes due to them being provisional, but if there are any objections I will of course correct them in due time. Perhaps I should add a disclaimer stating that they are temporary? Appreciate your input. Obama gaming (talk) 19:14, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- If you have an eye on it, that's fine by me of course. Also, if you have an idea of how to include a disclaimer, feel free. I have no strong opinions on this. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 19:34, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

The article Attalia Trophy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreferenced article for which I can find no supporting information. The handful of Google search results all reference this page. Article was created with uncertainty about notability in 2010, and PROD was suggested in 2014.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SimLibrarian (talk) 06:06, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

If you're no longer in the biz, would you be willing to mentor someone who wants to create such a bot? And could a newbie operate a bot, assuming it's a separate account and has community approval for a specific project? — kwami (talk) 20:11, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, and sorry for the late response. I haven't written bots for years, and I'm not doing much here at WP at the moment. I'm sure someone at the Wikipedia:Bot Approvals Group can help you. Again, sorry I am not helpful here. All the best --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 09:02, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- No problem. I'll ask there when we're ready to move on this. — kwami (talk) 11:26, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Regarding information about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interior_Schwarzschild_metric
[edit]Dear Anypodetos,
I wanted some information about the page tagged here which you had edited. There's a table on this page that lists parameters for some astronomical objects (Earth, Sun, White Dwarf and Neutron Star). I wanted to know if this table has a relevant source like a research article or a book. Since there is no citation about the source of the table, could you please let me know from where did you get the table and its data?
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards, JackPhy JackPhy (talk) 19:21, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- I am researching some of the references. There are several things that aren't correctly sourced. The main line element is one of them. It may have been from an original reference that is no longer on the internet, a PDF posted on http://members.wavenet.at/arg/Wpdf/W5I.pdf JohnDiego (talk) 01:54, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
