:"Suicidal" is an adjective. "Suicide" is the noun you're looking for. In either case that's an unnecessary and erroneous title, since there is at least some speculation that Augustus possibly had Cleopatra killed by poisoning rather than her simply poisoning herself. "Suicide" is also a somewhat divisive word in some circles. "Death" is incredibly neutral and follows a pattern of similarly named articles for other famous historical figures. For instance, the article "Death of Alexander the Great". I see no reason why this article should follow a different convention. <strong><span style="color: blue;">Pericles of Athens</span></strong><span style="color: #0000CD;">Talk</span> 22:32, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

Should this be moved to Death of Cleopatra VII to be in line with the articles on her early life, reign? T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 12:44, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good question! Some editors/GA reviewers have argued that the articles Early life of Cleopatra VII and Reign of Cleopatra VII should be moved to "Early life of Cleopatra" and "Reign of Cleopatra", respectively, to conform with the naming style of Death of Cleopatra and the main article Cleopatra. Any editor can be bold and move the articles as they wish, but we haven't yet formed a clear consensus for renaming the articles in any of our talk page discussions. I think we'd have better luck garnering attention for this issue at the talk page for the main article. Pericles of AthensTalk 13:50, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Parade in Rome: prudence against

[edit]

“To parade one female Ptolemy in chains through Rome may be regarded as her misfortune; to parade two looks like the Ptolemys were careless,” a later sociographer would obliquely demur towards the consideration.

Rename? (2)

[edit]

Due to the discussion here, I believe the article should be renamed to Suicidal of Cleopatra. 152.130.16.22 (talk) 18:15, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
