Homenetmen Beirut is one of the longest running basketball programs for men in Lebanon and its team was part of the premier basketball league in the country for many years. Presently, it's men team plays in the [[Lebanon Basketball League]]'s division 1 . It won the Lebanese basketball title for 2017-1018, a first in the club's history. In a tense seven-game play-off series that went the full distance, Homenetmen prevailed in the final game, 74-59 getting the title 4-3. Homenetmen also won the Lebanese Cup in 2018 by beating Al Riyadi 77-70, on May 2, 2018. It also won the Arab Club Championship against ASS Sale 99-98 in a packed stadium with more than 6000 fans. |

They first established a football team, who first won the Lebanese Premier League in the 1943–44 season.[1] Homenetmen was closely affiliated with the Tashnag party.[2] Homenetmen Beirut were one of the most prominent football teams, winning the league title seven times.[2]
Following the Lebanese Civil War, the club fell into dismay; they were relegated to the Lebanese Second Division for the first time in 2002, and to the Lebanese Third Division in 2005.[2] Ever since, the organisation shifted its focus away from football to indoor sports.[2]
