Starshy michman (Russian: Старший мичман, romanizedStarshiy michman, lit.'Senior midshipman') is a rank used by the Russian and the Azerbaijani Navy. The rank is a non-commissioned officer's and is equivalent to Starshy praporshchik in armies and air forces.
