Abdirahman Aabi was born on July 7, 1994 in Basra(Arabic:البصرة), Iraq. His family moved to the city of Hargeisa, Somaliland where grew up.
Abdi Aar is the second oldest boy in his family and was born from a middle class family on July 7, 1994 in Basra(Arabic:البصرة‎‎), Iraq. His mother, (a housewife woman) Raxma Cali, was born in Hargeisa, Somaliland. His father Ismacil Caabi (Mr. Aar born in Hargeisa), a mechanical man, worked in Iraq for five years as a vehicle driver. In 1994, during the Persian Gulf War, Aar's family fled to Tehran, Iran, and to Somaliland. Abdi Aar grew up in Hargeisa, and attended madrassa, Islamic school. Abdi Aar has seven siblings: three girls and four boys.

He then attended Texas Christian University. Currently, Abdirahman is studying at the University of Texas Christian University in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Abdirahman is one of the most viewed Quora writers in Somalia.
Abdirahman went to Sheikh Cali Cisman Primary (ex-Reece), and had a piece of his best moment in life. He enjoyed there and won multiple awards like, Abaalmarinta Horseedka iyo Akhlaaqda (Effort and Leadership Awards). After completing the primary school, he went to Abaarso Technology Secondary School, an egalitarian American high school, located Abaarso Village, the Northwest of District of Hargeisa, Somaliland.
