Recent additions

Removed current events info

Per WP:BLP, all material in an article about a living person must have references. I've removed some material on these grounds until such references are provided. — Dulcem (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rosicrucians

There have been claims and allegations that Biya is tied to the Rosicrucians. I have found a source mentioning this claim in an article by Le Monde diplomatique. [1] I cannot confirm this rumour, but it would be helpful if anyone could debunk it, either confirming it or deying it. ADM (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Franck

Some sources say that Franck is Paul's son with another woman; some sources say Franck is Jeanne-Irène's son with another man, cos they could not have a child (she had a miscarriage once or twice). Have U got any information bout it? V1^t 21:41, 1 July 2009

-Hello I'm I fellow Cameroonian who has a few things that I'd like to address and let people know about Mr. Paul Biya. I'm an Anglophone and yes I do believe that Paul Biya is a strongman he doesn’t care about our country he only cares about him self and HIS money. Cameroon used to be a very beautiful place VERY beautiful in he became president. And it upset me greatly to hear my parents talk about how it was so beautiful and I not getting a chance to see my country, as it was when Paul Biya wasn’t president. Recently he has made the citizens of Cameroon do a tax I believe it was which isn’t really necessary it's just taking up money that the citizens don’t have because he's taken everything away. He's a fake and hopefully within a couple of years when he dies we will have a fresh start with a new person in charge. Every time he visits America we've come up with un expensive ways that we can help the improvement of Cameroon with all of the technology and computers that we have hear in America for instance radio stations and so forth. I may even blame we the people as well because when he come we don’t present him with ideas we try and get him to improve our villages and family which is unrealistic when we can present him with bigger ideas which cost less and will benefit more people.

-There is no Anglophone in Cameroon. Cameroon is a mixte of more than two hundred tribal groups such as Bakwedi, Bakossi, Beti, Bakoko, Bassa, Grassfield and so one. Our country accepts by the constitution to use both french and English to connect itself with the International communities. You can not describe yourself as an "Anglophone". It not a shame to say that you are from Bakwedi or Duala. Before Western European Countries such are UK and French come to our country, our ethnic groups exist. Is it because you speak the english language that you define yourself as an "Anglophone"? What mean an Anglophone in the Cameroonian context? I am from Bakoko, and Iam proud of that. I speak Bakoko, Duala, Bankon, Bassa, Ewondo, English and French. For you because I'm Bakoko, how are you described me? My kids are raised in USA and they speack only English and some few words in Bakoko, How are you described them? Be proud to be a Cameroonian, a beautiful contry, don't accept acculturation or division created by colonialism. We don't really need that to build our country. Together we can do better and more!

-Hello, I am a Cameroonian and proud to be.The problem with this country is us.There is a lot of hypocracy in our nation.The same people who criticize the government in hiding are the same ones who publicly praise the government of president Biya.If we Cameroonians are true patriots of our country we should be able to stand up firm to the wrongs of our president and nation even to the extend of gun point.Critically examining countries like the united states before they had to attain the level to which they are now there was a lot of sacrifices that were made(Martin luther King,Malcom X etc),who fought for the rights of the people.But here in Cameroon and Africa as a whole a lot of patriotism is sold out for money which would not last long.We really need to examine this nation and keep aside the differences of being Anglophones and Francophones because Barrack Obama rules the United States as a the president of the united states and not as a black so being a Francophone or an Anglophone does not determine the ruler rather the zeal to rule the people.People need to stand up for what the believe.I am sure and certain that someday the change we need will come and also to stay.
