Murad Mammadov (Azerbaijani: Murad Məmmədov; born 12 August 1995) is an Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a two-time medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and three-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships.[1] He represented Azerbaijan at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Career

Mammadov won one of the bronze medals in the 60 kg event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.[4][5] A few months later, he won the gold medal in his event at the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series 2022 held in Rome, Italy.[6] He won the silver medal in his event at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey.[7]
Mammadov won the gold medal in the 63 kg event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania.[8] In the final, he defeated Oleksandr Hrushyn of Ukraine.[8] He earned a quota place for Azerbaijan for the 2024 Summer Olympics at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey.[9]
