In 1979, whilst a [[Kettering Town]] player, he was selected in the initial 27-man squad for the [[England C national football team|England non-league international side]] by manager [[Howard Wilkinson]]. In 1977 he moved to [[Kettering Town F.C.|Kettering Town]] alongside [[Mick Jones]]. In 1979 he then moved to [[Mansfield Town F.C.|Mansfield Town]] again with Jones. He remained there until 1982 when he and Jones moved to [[Bradford City F.C.|Bradford City]], Jones assistant manager and Lee as Youth Team Manager. Lee made a big success of the youth system at [[Valley Parade]] guiding his young charges to the Northern Intermediate League title. He also worked as assistant manager to [[Terry Dolan (footballer)|Terry Dolan]] at [[Rochdale F.C.|Rochddale]] from 1989–1991 and the pair then worked together for six years at [[Hull City F.C.|Hull City]] until 1997 when he joined [[Huddersfield Town F.C.|Huddersfield Town]] as Chief Scout, he would remain Chief Scout until 2002 when [[Mick Wadsworth]] promoted Lee to the coaching staff. Lee was made redundant in May 2003, but returned in August 2003 as Chief Scout under [[Peter Jackson (footballer born 1961)|Peter Jackson]]. He left Town in 2004. He was last known of scouting for Lincoln City in 2009. |

Jeffrey Lee (born 3 October 1945) is a former professional football defender who played for Halifax Town and Peterborough United in the Football League.[1]
Playing career
[edit]Lee started his career with Huddersfield Town as an amateur and then moved to Halifax Town in 1964/65. He then moved to Peterborough in 1973/74.[1]
In 1979, whilst a Kettering Town player, he was selected in the initial 27-man squad for the England non-league international side by manager Howard Wilkinson. This was the first ever squad called for this newly formed team.[2]
Lee joined Hull City as Terry Dolan's assistant manager in 1992. He remained at the club until Dolan's departure in 1997. He was appointed as the chief scout at Huddersfield Town by Peter Jackson in October 1997. He also worked alongside managers Steve Bruce, Lou Macari and Mick Wadsworth in the years following.
