Wilshire/Normandie is one of only two heavy rail subway stations in the system not served by the [[Red Line (Los Angeles Metro)|Red Line]]. In late 2019, a then unknown Russian-born woman with the name [[Emily Zamourska]] was captured on videophone singing opera by local police at the station, of which video went viral due to the perceived talent of her.

Wilshire/Normandie station is an underground rapid transit (known locally as a subway) station on the D Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located under Wilshire Boulevard at Normandie Avenue, after which the station is named, in the Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown districts of Los Angeles.

Wilshire/Normandie is one of only two D Line stations not shared with the B Line.

Hours and frequency

D Line trains run every day between approximately 5 a.m. and midnight. Trains operate every 12 minutes during peak hours. Early morning and night service is approximately every 20 minutes.[3]
