В [[1943 год]]у окончил [[Санкт-Петербургский государственный академический институт живописи, скульптуры и архитектуры имени И. Е. Репина|ЛИЖСА имени И. Е. Репина]]. В [[1944 год|1944]]—[[1949 год]]ах работал в творческой мастерской архитектора [[Поляков, Леонид Михайлович|Л. М. Полякова]], старшим архитекторм, руководителем группы. В 1949—1959 годах являлся руководителем группы по проектированию в Москве здания [[Ленинградская (гостиница)|гостиницы «Ленинградская»]]. Позднее служил заместителем начальника архитектурного отдела «Гидропроект» Министерства энергетики СССР, руководителем архитектурно-проектной мастерской № 20 в «Моспроекте — I». С [[1963 год|1963]] по [[1982 год]]ы работал начальником Управления «Моспроект — I» Главного архитектурно-планировочного управления [[Моссовет|Мосгорисполкома]]. С [[1982 год]]а на протяжении 10 лет возглавлял [[Союз архитекторов России]]. Aleksandr Grigoryevich Rochegov (Russian: Александр Григорьевич Рочегов; 19 February 1917 in Baku – 2 December 1998 in Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian architect, and from 1992 to 1998 president of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. In 1991 he was awarded the title of People's Architect of the USSR, and in 1990 he was awarded the USSR State Prize.
