He studied mechanical engineering at the [[National Institute of Technology, Rourkela]] and graduated in 2015. He then worked as a mechanical engineer for a few years. However, he always had a passion for art and filmmaking and eventually decided to pursue a career in these fields.<ref name="toi" />

Chinmoy Barma (born 7 August 1993) is an Indian filmmaker known for his cinematic craft and storytelling, also recognized for his academic achievements and dedication to social causes in his films. He is from Nalbari, Assam.[1]
