Margaret Burton (18 March 1924 - 23 November 1984) was an English actress known for her roles in Sex and the Other Woman (1972), Secrets of a Superstud (1976) and the TV series The Tomorrow People.

Margaret Burton was born on 18 March 1924 in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England.

She was best known for her role as Gordon's Mum in the Last of the Summer Wine episode "Going to Gordon's Wedding" (1976) and was also known for her role in four episodes of Coronation Street in 1980 as Poppy Watts.

Margaret Burton was married three times. In 1947, she married David Nixon and they lived together until they divorced in 1950. Soon after, Burton met Arnold Moseley and they married in 1952, but yet again her marriage did not last and they divorced in 1960. Margaret remained unmarried until 1979 when she married Michael Garvey and they were married until her death in 1984.

She passed away on 23 November 1984 in Hove, East Sussex, England with her husband Michael Garvey at her side, she was 60 years old. Burton's cause of death was Cirrhosis of the Liver and Pickwickian Syndrome.
