The reason I am writing you is to let you know that you cannot just remove something you say in a forum here. It is certainly ok for you to copyedit it; it is ok for you to remove most anything from your own user talk page. But it isn't ok to take things back elsewhere. You see, every edit you make on Wikipedia becomes Wikipedia's as soon as you press that save button. If you will notice at the bottom of the edit window it says "By clicking the "Save page" button, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL." I put your question back, and here is why: Even though I cannot answer your question ( I haven't a clue when it comes to audio files), someone may be able to answer it and the answer may help educate another editor. Teahouse is actually about new users learning how to use Wikipedia, not about answering specific questions from new users. The idea is that many may benefit from an answer directed at one. Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
