I have completed extensive reworking of this page and thus believe it is able to lose some of the issues on its. Therefore, I will proceed with such. I have reorganized it, cleaned it up, condensed lengthy details, and made it more cohesive. I tried to keep most of the context in while removing redundancies and useless pieces of info. If anyone has any concerns about what I have done, feel free to shoot some feedback at me. Or just edit it yourself, either works. This article has several redundancies of information. I have begun to remove pieces already covered, so please, no one be alarmed by large chunks of this article being removed. I'm doing this carefully and intentionally, the article is going to be a lot more cohesive, hopefully, when Im done with it.DaltonCastle (talk) 20:42, 14 August 2012 (UTC) |

Also, I am considering completely reworking the organization and formatting of this page. I think there is too much emphasis on individual battalion stationing and activity and not enough details and history of where this regiment served, either in major conflicts or minor ones. It briefly mentions it at the bottom, but that should be some of the most important information for a military regiment.DaltonCastle (talk) 20:45, 14 August 2012 (UTC) |

== 5th Battalion? == |
|||
I was initially surprised that there isn't any information on the 5th Battalion here but then started to research to find information on the battalion so I could add some but for once my google-fu is failing me. Even the site that the 4th Battalion's information was taken from was a dry hole for the 5th. It's like the battalion never existed but I did my Basic Training in the 5th Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment at Ft. Wood back in 1987 (Echo Company to be exact). |
|||
I think there should be something on the 5th Batt but someone better than me will have to find the information. |
|||
Can anyone help? |

Redundancy

5th Battalion?
[edit]I was initially surprised that there isn't any information on the 5th Battalion here but then started to research to find information on the battalion so I could add some but for once my google-fu is failing me. Even the site that the 4th Battalion's information was taken from was a dry hole for the 5th. It's like the battalion never existed but I did my Basic Training in the 5th Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment at Ft. Wood back in 1987 (Echo Company to be exact).
I think there should be something on the 5th Batt but someone better than me will have to find the information.
