Template Usage

Purpose

  • To inform editors that they are being discussed on the Administrators' noticeboard.
Usage
  • {{subst:AN-notice|topic|noticeboard=noticeboard of discussion|reason=reason for discussion|thread=thread name of the discussion}} — ~~~~

Parameters

  • topic - optional parameter that links to the page being discussed
  • thread - optional parameter that links to thread that user is being discussed at
  • noticeboard - a parameter that can be changed to reflect the appropriate noticeboard, e.g. Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard/Incidents, rather than the default, which is Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard.)
  • reason - a parameter that can be changed to reflect a more specific reason why the editor is being discussed
  • sign - optional parameter that if set to yes will include your signature
  • heading – optional parameter that if set to no will suppress the notification header
