Olivier Paul PHILIPPE grew up in a Parisian suburb in a large family surrounded by five brothers and sisters and countless uncles, aunts and cousins. The only child in this huge family to be attracted to the artistic world, he very soon invents a world of his own. Drawing, writing and taking pictures become his best means of expression. In addition to his schooling, he began to write scenarios, to produce comics, to invent television programs in his bedroom. And then, by discreetly “borrowing” his father’s camera, to produce his first photo novels and his first films.His very first “professional” experience dates back to his 10 years, Olivier is already overflowing with imagination and when the famous toy brand offers to donate GI JOE figurines to his school for an exhibition devoted to the World War II, his teachers naturally ask him for the staging. Hasbro then discovers his work and asks him quite simply to imagine his GI Joe in the next catalog! Too young to be paid for this very first job, he is nevertheless allowed to keep all the toys that the brand has let at his disposal to take the pictures.Olivier Philippe spent his time imagining stories. Making storyboards out of them and shooting them with the camera that he "borrowed" discreetly from his father.

A family relative accidentally discovers his job. == Studies ==
In 1986, after having obtained his baccalaureate with honors, Olivier PHILIPPE moved towards journalism studies. He chooses to integrate the ESJ- PARIS.
In 1988, when he began a third year of specialization in Audiovisual, he did his first internships in a radio. [[Radio Tour Eiffel,]] the most important Parisian radio station at that time, noticed his talent and asked him to direct a weekly three-hour program devoted to travel. Rather than simply talking about travels, Olivier has the idea of making the audience believe that each new episode takes place in a different country. By writing situations, having them acted out by fellow comedians and using sound design to recreate the atmosphere of each place. A real challenge. And a real success.Following this experience, Olivier is spotted in 1989 by the most important radio station in the country. [[Radio France]], which immediately hired him. It supports outside recordings of many shows that evoke stories abroad. It thus continues to make listeners travel all over the planet.

The Network naturally asks Olivier PHILIPPE for an idea. The challenge thrills the director who designs a 2mn30 program, with a very precise narrative structure, but able of evolving with the news. He makes the pilot and the video design himself and he even hosts it. The pilot immediately pleased the Network’ s management, which put it on the air a few weeks later. This new way of "manufacturing" information is then the subject of a special feature of a popular magazine "Human Sciences" which put Olivier PHILIPPE in front page.

== Ground Zero, a turning point ==
At 10 p.m. on September 10, 2001, Olivier PHILIPPE landed at New York's JFK Airport. He comes to direct a series about the "French touch" in NYC in fashion, cuisine and music. But the next morning come the [[attacks on the World Trade Center]]. He is the only French on the spot able to shoot and send images to
bear witness to the events. For [[TV5Monde|TV5 MONDE]] but also for the biggest French channels like [[France 2]] or [[TF1 Group|TF1]].
Olivier PHILIPPE will return in NYC the following year, invited to comment the commemorations of the drama as a very special witness. Very concerned by the attacks in this city, he decides to leave hot topics aside to devote himself to the cultural magazine he has just launched.

Olivier philippe is now a recognized director. In september 2002 he asks TV5MONDE to be able to direct a totally new tv show about culture and entertainment. He imagines it like a « road movie » in the streets of Paris. The network accepts but asks him to also embody the show, as he used to do successfully in his documentaries.
During six seasons, he directs 180 episods of [[Soluble dans l'air]] (SODA), and welcomes the greatest French and foreign artists to play the game of his « road movie ». So he stops SODA, quit [[TV5 MONDE]] with wich he was under contract for more than 15 years, to create his own company. With “SALT & PEPPER PRODUCTIONS” he wants to imagine and direct programs, films and documentaries for television and brands.

Olivier PHILIPPE is now recognized for the quality of his images and the elegance of his achievements. A « French chic » that now appeals to singers and musicians. In 2010 he is called in to make concert recordings. The Garorock festival, The [[Monaco piano masters]] or the [[Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique|Sacem]] award ceremonies.

The famous swiss group signs for it and the series is a success. Since then, Olivier PHILIPPE reproduces and improves the formula with other clients, like [[Century 21 Real Estate|CENTURY 21]], [[L'Oréal|L’ORÉAL]], [[Saint-Gobain|SAINT-GOBAIN]], [[BNP Paribas|BNP PARIBAS]], [[VAHINÉ|VAHINÉ]], ''''ENGY'''', among others like the Israelian tourism office, recently. He’s actually the french specialist of these kind of short show, half a commercial and half a brand content program. That new kind of extra short TV show demands all the expertise and accuracy he acquired during the previous years.
The success of short sponsored fiction programs leads Olivier PHILIPPE to a new challenge in 2016: creating a series for [[MEDEF]] a national organisation which wants to promote « forgotten » jobs. Short programs let Olivier PHILIPPE to experiment fiction. A very efficient way, according to him, to deliver a message for a Brand in less than one minute. In 2014, to answer a demand of new campaign for a European company of pastry products, he proposes to create a real series in daily episodes, with characters, plots, comedy, like in traditional soap opera, but in short. It works. NOS MOMENTS DE PARTAGE (sharing moments) is then the first short sponsorized fiction program on French TV. Released on M6, W9 and Teva channels.Thrilled by the power of fiction. Olivier PHILIPPE decides to produce in 2016 his own movie. CARMA, a 20mn Thriller he writes and directs. Starring Nathalie Franscesci and Audrey Pirault. The movie runs in several film festivals around de world and wins many awards in Europe and in the US in 2016 and 2017.“Best crime film” in LOS ANGELES FILM AWARDS, “award of merit” in LA JOLLA, CALIFORNIA, BEST SHORT COMPETITION, “winner film” in the FESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, “Best crime film” in NEW YORK FILM AWARDS and “Best Thriller” in CINEMA WORLDFEST CANADA.
While writing new fiction stories and especially a series inspired by CARMA, Olivier PHILIPPE get the idea of improving his documentaries with the same receipe of fiction and reality blending. In 2018, he writes, shoots and edits a 60mn documentary about a famous French chef, Yannick Tessier, specialized in game meat.
LA NATURE A SON CHEF (NATURE GOT ITS CHEF), produced by [[Canal+|CANAL+]] is a biopic that requires a lot of evocations of childhood. The director uses young actors to Evoque the youth of the chef. Which is a significant part in the future maestro construction.
In 2019, Olivier PHILIPPE goes further with a documentary series about French castles. Documentaries in preparation or shooting and also series and feature films of which he is the director and screenwriter and interest several US companies. In addition, many French companies are looking to continue working with him, but directly in the United States for local shootings which he could lead with American teams.
