-I know the China-Taiwan situation is sensitive and a constant topic of debate in Wikipedia, but why does this article stand on its own in referring to China (PRC) as governing Taiwan (ROC)? The [[Taiwan]] page refers to Taiwan as a country and makes no mention of China governing it.

-I want to change the text in this article to correct this, but I don't want to accidentally start an edit battle with others.
-The text I'm referring to is under the "[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Health_Organization?oldformat=true#Membership_and_participation_of_the_Republic_of_China Membership and participation of the Republic of China"] heading as "The [[Republic of China (1912–1949)|Republic of China]] (ROC), which controlled [[mainland China]] from 1912 to 1949 and currently governs [[Taiwan]] [[Retrocession Day|since 1945]]"
