I would like to add the fact that Leeds have now won the Festa d'Elx Trophy in a mid-season friendly against Elche CF. Lewis Dockerty (talk) 10:07, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

"In 1984, another badge was introduced which lasted until 1998, making it the longest lived of the modern era." Delete the second clause of this sentence entirely, as it's first, unsourced, and second, clearly wrong (or at least, outdated) according to the article's own text, which shortly thereafter discusses a badge in use from 2002 to 2019, which by my maths is about three years longer than the above. Add the league history graphic that was removed by Mattythewhite on 3 Jan 2023. This graphic is used consistently throughout team pages to show progression up and down the league table and it's very useful/informative to quickly see a teams history over time without needing to parse through an entire history section (if it exists for a team):

The board finally sold the club to Ken Bates for £10 million.

Really should be ammended to make clear that Bates paid £10m for a 50% share of the club, as per the source. I would also suggest that the article includes reference to the quote from Gerald Krasner (again in the source) that the club was £25m in debt at the time

::::In fact, the BBC source used doesn't even mention that he paid £10m for his stake, you will need a source for that too. But definitely you need to stop misrepresenting reality. The article claims that Ken Bates bought the club for £10m in 2005. This is false and obviously there is no source for this falsehood. The source you do (mis)use explains that he took a 50% stake, but doesn't mention what he paid. You will need a source for that. Can somebody please clean up this mess and ensure the history section is both correctly sourced and reflectve of reality?
