Lina Hamid is a member of the Nova Scotia New Democratic Party elected to represent the riding of Fairview-Clayton Park.[1]

She is Sudanese Canadian.[2] She was the Senior Manager at the United Way.[2]

Lina was born and raised in Qatar with her 3 younger sisters. She moved to Canada alone in 2011 where she graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Bachelors of Commerce.

Lina served as the Co-Chair for ACORN International's mainland chapter from 2021 - 2022.
