Morefield has a notable record of support for divisive legislation. He was one of the Virginia legislators who voted in favor of a bill allowing adoption agencies to refuse applicants based on their sexuality; voted in favor of allowing official school clubs at public state colleges & universities to prevent/revoke membership based on sexuality; voted against a bill that would have prevented Virginians from being fired for being gay and voted against the appointment of an openly gay judge. |
