The land was subject to legal hassles before the construction took place. The area consists of a dome-shaped mausoleum dating back many years. The ongoing plan includes the construction of 4 tall minarets and a large dome. The construction is under progress. More than 7,000 people attend the mosque for each prayer during the holy month of Ramadan. The Friday sermons are delivered in both Urdu and Arabic.[citation needed]

Khaja Gulshan Masjid

It is one of the oldest mosques in Mehdipatnam,[citation needed] with many sermons and speeches given by famous people.[13] The dome is lit during Ramadan, making it the centre of attraction.

Transport

Mehdipatnam has a TSRTC bus depot, making it a hub of many buses going to all parts of the Hyderabad. The depot acts as a connector of various neighbourhoods across the city such as Chevella, Moinabad, Uppal, Secundrabad, Lingampally, Koti, Gachibowli, Madhapur, and Aramghar.

Mehdipatnam also provides transport to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport through the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway.

The closest MMTS train stations are at Nampally and Lakdikapool.
