Hey, I love this template and thanks for adding it! But surely the subway-surface lines belong on here as well? I'd add them, but I'm not sure what "division" they're in. --Jfruh 13:05, 23 August 2005 (UTC) |

So why isn't Fern Rock Transportation Center included in this template? And about the R4, I found a message board containing some useful info in case any body's interested. ----DanTD (talk) 03:07, 20 August 2008 (UTC) |

I've been unable to find any other templates that use the same format as this one, where active lines & route are completely separated from the inactive ones, rather than in appropriate subsections. Also, there's quite a number of relevant links that were omitted. AlgaeGraphix (talk) 21:04, 25 December 2019 (UTC) |

* Well, Amtrak routes puts all the former services in one place, regardless of geography (the relevant factor when dividing up those services). It's true that Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority groups current and former services together (within modal type). Just so theres a marker between the two, I would like to suggest that any cuts past 1970 be put in 'Former Trolley' and anything before, including the 1955 cuts, be put in 'City Bus' |

Subway-surface lines
[edit]Hey, I love this template and thanks for adding it! But surely the subway-surface lines belong on here as well? I'd add them, but I'm not sure what "division" they're in. --Jfruh 13:05, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

SEPTA R4
[edit]This template deals with the SEPTA Regional Rail lines in their present form. The R4 line was proposed as a local service from Bryn Mawr but never implemented. That's why the R4 should not be in the template. Pilatus 13:46, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
- Actually the history is much more complicated - SEPTA Regional Rail describes it in detail. There's no reason to restrict the template to the present form. --SPUI (talk) 07:55, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
- We don't have defunct lines (such as the trackless trolleys) in the template, so there is no reason to have lines that never existed in the template. Pilatus 00:42, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
- If someone writes an article on the trackless trolley routes, they shoudl be added to the template. --SPUI (talk) 06:09, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
- If someone gets around to write about the R4 the link can go back in. Pilatus 23:58, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
- Removed the R4 link. If someone writes about the proposed R4 service (if I remember correctly, it was a Bryn Mawr-Fox Chase local) then the link should be added back. Izzycat 22:08, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Girard St.?

- I can't wait to see what you guys are going to do with Routes 23 and 56 are revived as trolley lines. ----DanTD (talk) 16:17, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Fern Rock, anyone?
[edit]So why isn't Fern Rock Transportation Center included in this template? And about the R4, I found a message board containing some useful info in case any body's interested. ----DanTD (talk) 03:07, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Revising & updating
[edit]I've been unable to find any other templates that use the same format as this one, where active lines & route are completely separated from the inactive ones, rather than in appropriate subsections. Also, there's quite a number of relevant links that were omitted. AlgaeGraphix (talk) 21:04, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- Well, Amtrak routes puts all the former services in one place, regardless of geography (the relevant factor when dividing up those services). It's true that groups current and former services together (within modal type). Mackensen (talk) 22:35, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
