대한축구협회/위키백과 등에는 1924년생으로 기재되어있으나, 1935년 조선축구협회대표팀에 보성전문 소속인 박규정 씨 선발 사실이 기록되어 있는 점, 월간축구 1971년 8월호 인터뷰에서 박규정 씨는 1955년 선수 생활을 은퇴하였고, 당시 그의 나이 41세라고 명시한 점 등을 볼 때 1914년~1915년생이 맞는 것으로 보여졌다. 이후 본 문서 서술자와 언론사의 문의 등으로 대한축구협회가 재조사한 결과, 박규정 선생의 출생연월일이 1915년 4월 21일로 수정된바 이를 반영한다. Park Kyu-chung (Korean: 박규정; Hanja: 朴奎禎, 21 April 1915 – 2000) was a South Korean football defender who played for the South Korea in the 1948 Summer Olympics[1] and the 1954 FIFA World Cup.[2]
Park Kyu Chong was the first player in the history of the FIFA World Cup at the age of 39+ to play in matches. June 17, 1954 Park Kyu Chong played in a match against Hungary at the age of 39 years 57 days. Stanley Matthews (England) participated in the game England - Belgium at the age of 39 years 136 days on the same day, but with a little late.
