He first played for the Right to Dream Academy from 2011 to 2019. There he played in their win for the [[Manchester United Premier Cup]] in the 2014-2015 edition. He had an offer to play at the club [[FC Nordsjælland]] in 2017, but he missed the opportunity to play at the U17 World Cup for Ghana. The reason for him missing the Cup was because RTD (Right to Dream Academy) were pressing on him to join the Danish club or they would not allow him to play for Ghana's U17 team. After this, RTD kept on denying any allegations of this happening. Once his contract with Right to Dream expired, Kelvin went on a successful trial with Fortuna Dusseldorf and signed a three-year deal.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://futaa.com/article/189612/fortuna-dusseldorf-sign-ghanaian-youngster-kelvin-ofori|website=futaa.com|title=Fortunasucce Dusseldorf sign Ghanaian youngster Kelvin Ofori|author= Lee Mpofu|accessdate=18 April 2020}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/kelvin-ofori-fortuna-dusseldorf-seal-deal-for-ghanaian/1usexmbca3mri1v8uerukupihb|website=goal.com|title=Kelvin Ofori: Fortuna Dusseldorf seal deal for Ghanaian teenager|author=Prince Narkortu Teye|accessdate=18 April 2020}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/SportsArchive/Fortuna-D-sseldorf-coach-full-of-praise-for-Kelvin-Ofori-894643|website=ghanaweb.com|title=Fortuna Düsseldorf coach full of praise for Kelvin Ofori|author=Ghanaguardian.com|accessdate=18 April 2020}}</ref>
