I thought that recording was just a recreation. 2800:200:ED40:1154:89D0:BC8:2C80:3611 (talk) 19:00, 23 November 2024 (UTC) |

:Yeah, there’s no chain of custody so we don’t know if it’s the real thing or not. The audio quality is pretty good so it sounds like it came straight out of the TV studio console if it’s real. What gets me is how dumb the message is. This is straight out of a 1950s B movie script, even for the 1970s. A section of the article says that the Looney Tunes cartoon that played was "Falling Hare" however after listening to the audio more closely it can be established that the cartoon playing was not "Falling Hare", but the 1947 cartoon "The Goofy Gophers". Regardless of whether or not it's a recreation (and I personally believe it is), its origin point is just some random youtube video from some random youtube channel, almost the dictionary definition of an unreliable source. :Need a bit more to go on, here. Can you point to a specific clip/episode? Endlesspumpkin (talk) 14:06, 10 November 2023 (UTC) |

::Well, if you listen to the audio a few seconds after the intrusion ended, you can hear a voice saying "Ah, scrumptious, simply..." and if you listen to "The Goofy Gophers" cartoon, you can hear that same saying the exact same thing. Luke0821 (talk) 22:53, 10 November 2023 (UTC) |

:::By the way, there is actual cartoon named "The Goofy Gophers" made by Warner Bros., which was the first apperance of the goofy gopher characters. Here is an article The Goofy Gophers - Wikipedia Luke0821 (talk) 01:34, 11 November 2023 (UTC) |

::::Where in the cartoon can I hear that said? Is it part of the intro, or from a specific episode? I had assumed that you were talking about the cartoon, but are you saying you were actually talking about an episode of Looney Tunes that was also called Goofy Gophers? |
|||
::::If you can find a source that's already made this observation that'd be great. Though I noticed the current claim that it's Looney Tunes doesn't have a source either, outside the original recording, so if you can provide detailed enough information then I think that change could probably be made. :::::Yes, I'm talking about an episode called "The Goofy Gophers". The part in which that particular phrase is said at about 1 minutes and 30 seconds into the cartoon. Luke0821 (talk) 20:03, 11 November 2023 (UTC) |

Re-creation?
[edit]I thought that recording was just a recreation. 2800:200:ED40:1154:89D0:BC8:2C80:3611 (talk) 19:00, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, there’s no chain of custody so we don’t know if it’s the real thing or not. The audio quality is pretty good so it sounds like it came straight out of the TV studio console if it’s real. What gets me is how dumb the message is. This is straight out of a 1950s B movie script, even for the 1970s. Viriditas (talk) 00:23, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
Please do not revert my removal of the audio again.
