Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, :Greater Central Philippine languages, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add or change content, as you did at :Greater Central Philippine languages, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. :I've already inputed/cited the sources that there are languages spoken outside the Philippine archipelago and Northern Sulawesi that are part of Greater Central Philippine family but the Tausug & Iranun languages. |
:- Tausug or Suluk |
:a South Bisayan language not only spoken in the Philippines (Sulu Archipelago, Southern Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula) but also in Sabah (eastern coast), Malaysia, Sandakan, Tawau, Pulau Banggi Kudat, Lahad Datu, Kalabakan. |
:- Iranun or Ilanon |
:a Danao language spoken not only spoken in the Philippines (North & South Lanao, Cotabato, South Zamboanga provinces) but in Sabah, Malaysia (mostly in Kota Belud, some significant communities found in Kota Kinabalu, Papar & Labuan, which was separated from Sabah in order to become a Federal Territory). |
:That's all... |
:And what's wrong with it? |
:In the case of Tausugs in Malaysia & Indonesia (Sandakan, Tawau,Semporna, Kudat, Kalabakan, Lahad Datu, Nunukan) & Iranuns of Malaysia (Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu)? They don't considered themselves to be called Moros nor Filipinos, The term "Moro" is only exclusive in the Philippines because Spaniards used it as a derogatory term for those Muslim people living in the Southern Philippines, the term originated after the Moors of Andalusia during Spanish Inquisition. And yet, Spaniards never made their journey to Borneo (because of Madrid Protocol of 1885). |
:Do I need it to discuss for you so that you will be understand or enlightened? If you don't, try going to the said places there in Malaysia & Indonesia so that you will know. 49.149.100.11 (talk) 05:26, 9 December 2024 (UTC) |

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at :Greater Central Philippine languages. The sources you have provided are not reliable.<!-- Template:uw-unsourced4 --> —C.Fred (talk) 11:29, 9 December 2024 (UTC) |
:That's a reliable source, promise. I'm not joking. |
:another concern, Why do you erase something (taken from Joshua Project about the Suluk/Tausug 12,000 population of Indonesia)? Joshua Project gathered also a source before that was published: "Kalimantan Utara Province, scattered coastal settlements; immigrants from Sulu Archipelago in the Philippines..." from Ethnolouge 2016. |
:As for the Greater Central Philippines Languages, I'll let you explain reason why do I put "Parts of Sabah, Malaysia & Part (Northeast Portion) of Kalimantan Utara in Indonesia", Nothing to do with Northern Sulawesi (because of the Gorontalo-Mongondow). |
:In Sabah, Malaysia, languages that are belonged to GCP group are: |
:Tausug a.k.a Suluk language - spoken in coastal areas of Eastern Sabah i.e Sandakan, Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kudat, Pulau Banggi, Semporna. |
:Iranon or Ilanun- spoken in coastal areas of Western Sabah i.e Kota Belud, other significant diaspora found in Kota Kinabalu, Papar & Labuan (separated from Sabah after being transformed into a Federal Territory in 1985). |
:In Kalimantan Utara (Northeast portion of Nunukan Regency), the languages belonged to GCP group is still Tausug/Suluk language, despite of having a sizable community there (as mentioned earlier). |
