Malta is a village in Morgan County, Ohio, United States. The population was 559 at the 2020 census.
History
[edit]Malta was laid out in 1816.[4] The village was named after the European island of Malta.[5]
Geography
[edit]Malta is located on the west side of the Muskingum River, opposite McConnelsville.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.38 square miles (0.98 km2), of which 0.34 square miles (0.88 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) is water.[6]
