The a-ha song "[[Angel (a-ha song)|Angel In The Snow]]" was written for Savoy by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and he played it to her on their wedding day. He was too shy to make a speech, so he wrote a song instead.


In 1983, Lauren met Pål Waaktaar, guitarist and songwriter of the band [[A-ha]], at the Hippodrome nightclub, London. On December 21, 1991, they got married and on August 3, 1999, the couple's first and only child, True August Waaktaar-Savoy, was born.
