St. Joseph's College was founded by then Most Rev. Bishop [[Socrates B. Villegas|Socrates Villegas]] (now the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan) in July 2004, when he was the newly-installed bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Balanga, he saw the need for more educational institutions to cater to the education and religious formation of the youth. He noted that while majority of the province's population is Catholic, there was no Catholic college that would promote and sustain the Christian Formation and serve as possible partner of the diocese in the performance of its service function of evangelization. |
