Neo Energy Metals is a mining explorer and developer focused on acquiring uranium projects[1] in South Africa. The company is based in Kenya, and is a dual-listed company on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and A2X Markets with ticker symbol NEO.

History

[edit]

Neo Energy Metals was founded in 2015 under the name Stanger Holdings and is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. In November 2023 the company completed a Reverse Take-Over for 70% of the Henkries Uranium project and changed its name to Neo Energy Metals, listing on the LSE for £15million[2]. In February 2024, Neo Energy Metals listed on the A2X Markets as well. The Henkries Uranium project contains an estimated 4.7million lbs of Uranium[3].

In September 2024, the company, through its wholly owned subsidiary (NURB), acquired a 100% interest in the Beisa North and Beisa South projects from Sunshine Mineral Reserves. These projects contained 90.24million lbs of Uranium (U₃O₈) and 4.17million ounces of Gold resource[4].

In October 2024, the company, through its wholly owned subsidiary (NURSA), acquired a 100% interest in the Henkries South Project from Eagle Uranium SA (Pty) Ltd. Surface Uranium mineralisation has been discovered through studies but a resource estimate is yet to be known.

In December 2024, the company, through its wholly owned subsidiary (NURB), acquired a 100% interest in the Beisa Central project from Sibanye-Stillwater. This acquisition included the Beatrix 4 mine and shaft complex, as well as 26.9million lbs of Uranium (U₃O₈) and 1.2million ounces of Gold resource. In addition to the sale of the mine, Sibanye-Stillwater acquired a 40% stake in Neo Energy Metals [5].
