Career at Saudi Aramco

Jalali joined Saudi Aramco in 1979, the state-owned oil company of Saudi Arabia, where he held several key positions over the years:

  • Vice President of Saudi Aramco Affairs (2003–2008): Jalali was responsible for managing the company's public relations, government relations, and global image.
  • Executive Head of Community Services (2002–2003): He oversaw Saudi Aramco's residential communities and office services, managing assets worth $11.3 billion.

During his time at Saudi Aramco, Jalali was involved in the development of Vision 2020, a strategic initiative aimed at reducing operational costs while enhancing service quality.[1][2]


Vela International Marine (2000–2002)

Jalali served as President and CEO of Vela International Marine, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, from 2000 to 2002. Vela operates a fleet of crude oil and refined product tankers.
