Under the [[Fifth Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies]], the [[Boundary Commission for England]] decided to retain Gloucestershire's constituencies for the 2010 election, making minor changes to realign constituency boundaries with the boundaries of current local government wards, and to reduce the electoral disparity between constituencies. For the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, which redrew the constituency map ahead of the 2024 United Kingdom general election, the Boundary Commission for England opted to combine Gloucestershire with Wiltshire as a sub-region of the South West Region, with the creation of the cross-county boundary constituency of South Cotswolds, resulting in a major reconfiguration of the former The Cotswolds constituency, which was renamed North Cotswolds.[5][6][7][8] These changes came into effect for the 2024 general election.

Under the Fifth Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the Boundary Commission for England decided to retain Gloucestershire's constituencies for the 2010 election, making minor changes to realign constituency boundaries with the boundaries of current local government wards, and to reduce the electoral disparity between constituencies. Although the changes were minor, the Cotswold constituency was renamed The Cotswolds.
