Was Travancore first to Introduce free and compulsory education in India? :His name was and continues to be C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar. Even the society established in his name is called the C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation. His name is C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar in his personal correspondence and in books written by him and about him. He NEVER called himself C.P.Ramaswami. I should know. I am his great granddaughter and President of The C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation, which now owns his personal correspondence. Please see https://cprfoundation.org.
